FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much space do I need to have an inflatable?
If you were to add 2 feet to every dimension shown on this website, you would have the right amount of space needed. For example, a 13′ x 13′ bounce house rental requires a 15′ x 15′ space. Remember to check overhead too. Most inflatables will be 17′ tall. So low-hanging branches or electrical lines must be considered.
Why is an adult always required to monitor the use of an inflatable?
As is the case with any amusement attraction, playground equipment, or inflatable, there exists the possibility for misuse. Improper use by the occupants, such as climbing on the nets, rough housing, or running into one another can cause serious injury. It is important that a responsible adult always oversee an inflatable to ensure that all safety rules are followed to prevent injury.
I want to have a party at the park… What can you tell me?
Some parks do not require an inflatable rental company to have an insurance policy. Some parks require a permit or reservation. First, call them and ask… Some parks require a $1M insurance policy; others require only $500K and some do not require any at all. That means they (the park) require an insurance policy to be issued with the park being named (protecting them from being sued should someone get hurt on their premises during your party). We do not offer this protection; thus, we have all our customers sign a Release of Liability waiver.
Another thing to watch for when you have a party at a park: is there electricity? You must have an electrical connection to use your inflatable rental. So, make sure you can “plug-in” somewhere. Otherwise, you will need to rent a generator (unless, of course, you have one of suitable size already). We rent generators at a reasonable cost. Also, parks are first come, first serve so get your spot early in the day. Please contact your local Parks and recreation district.
Can your inflatables be set-up indoors?
Yes. We can set up inflatables in gymnasiums, halls, churches, or anywhere else that can accommodate the height of our inflatable.
How much electricity does the inflatable use?
The blower runs continuously and uses approximately 14¢ of electricity per hour, utilizing less energy than most household appliances.
Am I expected to tip the delivery people?
Our delivery team goes out of their way to make sure you have a great rental experience! If you wish to tip the delivery team for their great service it will be appreciated, but it is not required.
How many Children can Jump at one time?
The number of children depends on the age group. Industry dictates the following for safety. A 13′ x 13′ inflatable: for children under the age of 8 years old; no more than 8 children at one time. For children 9-12: no more than 6 children at one time. Adults and teens: no more than 3 at one time. A 15′ x 15′ inflatable: under 8 years old; no more than 10 children at one time. For children 9-12: no more than 8 children at one time. Adults and teens: no more than 5 at one time. A 16′ x 16′ inflatable: Under 8 years old: no more than 12 children at one time. For children 9-12: no more than 10 children at one time. Adults and teens: no more than 5 at one time. Our single lane Slip-N-Slide is designed for one person at a time on the sliding surface. Waterslides are typically designed for one to two sliders at a time, depending on the width of the sliding surface.
Is it safe to use electricity with inflatables that use water?
It is important when using inflatables that require water that the electrical outlet be protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). This will trip if there is an electrical short. Also, you should ensure that any extension cords or electrical cords are not in or around water.
Does the rental have to be set up on grass?
Our inflatables can be set up on grass, cement, concrete, asphalt, or even indoors with a different anchoring system available for every possible combination. Inflatables that are setup on grass are anchored with long steel stakes, while inflatables that are setup on other surfaces or indoors are anchored with sandbags.
Why Can't the inflatable be more than 50" from the Power source?
We hear this all the time, and the answer is NO! It is unsafe and can damage the equipment! Worse yet, it can possibly start a fire. Our blower motors pull a lot of energy and that creates heat. That is why all our Inflatables are installed using our own Heavy Duty Commercial Extension Cords. If the Inflatable must be placed more than 50' from a power source, It may be necessary to use a generator to power it. We recommend 2000 watts per inflatable blower. We can provide a generator for you if needed. Speak to a rental specialist for more information.
Will you call me the week of my party?
Yes, we will call you the week of your party, confirm the date and time, and assure that your inflatable rental is on our schedule.
Are your inflatables clean?
YES. We clean every inflatable, table, chair, etc. They are inflated or assembled, swept out, and sanitized after every rental. You can rest assured that we will deliver clean, dependable products every time you rent an inflatable, or other equipment from Stand Out from The Crowd.
Can I pick up the inflatables?
Stand Up from The Crowd prefers to deliver all products, so that we can place them in an area that allows children to play safely and ensures that the product will not get damaged. Our prices include delivery, setup, and pickup in our service area. Please call our office if you have any questions.
What happens if I lose power?
All inflatables designed for commercial or rental use require a fan or blower that runs continuously. Should the blowers provided to you stop working, immediately remove the children playing in or on the inflatable. Then, check the circuit breaker to see if it has tripped. If it has tripped, reset the breaker and if this blower is working properly, you may continue playing on the inflatable. Should the breaker trip a second time you should try another electrical outlet. If it trips again, please call the number provided to you.
Can I use a water hose on the rental?
Under no circumstances should water be used with any inflatable that is not designed for such use. However, there are inflatables designed for use with water.

Do you bring extension cords?
Yes, Stand Out from The Crowd will bring an extension cord to accommodate your preferred setup location and the best outlet to use. If you anticipate needing to locate the inflatable more than 50 ft from the electrical outlet, you will need to use a generator. We rent generators at a reasonable cost.
What should we do to get ready for our rental?
The first thing I like to tell people is, “measure.” Make sure you know where you want your inflatable rental, and make sure there is enough room. Also, make sure your outside plug is working. That means, plug something in and test it. We need electricity within 100 feet minimum. The second thing is, mow your lawn the day before, not the same day or the morning. It will help keep the moonwalk clean for your kids’ enjoyment. Also, if you have a dog, please clean the yard of any waste before we come. It will help to keep the smell in check while your kids are in the back jumping. If you have a waterslide rental, do not water your lawn for a few days (or maybe even the whole week) before your party. Waterslides use a lot of water, and if your grass needs it, it will absorb it a lot better if it is dry.
Can I add Tables and Chairs after?
Yes, of course. We have many, many tables, and chairs. If you call us before the driver leaves, we can load them on.
What is a dedicated circuit?
A dedicated circuit has its own circuit breaker in your electrical box. It is typically intended for only one appliance. No additional appliances should be plugged into the circuit making it dedicated to that one appliance. Dedicated circuits ensure that if the appliance draws a lot of energy, you can run it properly without overloading your system and tripping or blowing your breaker or fuse. We typically require a 20-amp circuit for our larger inflatables. We can sometimes get away with using a 15-amp dedicated circuit for our smaller 1HP blowers. Please see the Image to determine if your outlet is 15 amp or 20 amp.
